Ballet has been the heart of my life’s journey, shaping my experiences and guiding my path from the grand stages of Europe to the vibrant shores of the U.S. Virgin Islands. As a principal ballerina from Paris, France, I was blessed to perform across the world, sharing the beauty of classical dance on some of the most prestigious stages. But my greatest passion has always been teaching—nurturing the next generation of dancers and passing on the discipline, artistry, and dedication that ballet instills. For over 40 years, I have had the privilege of working with the talented youth of the Virgin Islands, helping them discover their own strength and creativity through the performing arts. It was this passion that led me to co-found The French Academy of Performing Arts and The French Ballet Theatre Inc. in collaboration with my daughter, Lea Scott. Together, we have created a home where young artists can thrive, where dance is not just a skill but a foundation for confidence, discipline, and success in all areas of life. Our vision is clear—to build a thriving performing arts culture within the U.S. Virgin Islands, providing the highest level of training and opportunities to young dancers who dream of a future in the arts. Through rigorous training, mentorship, and international collaborations, we aim to elevate the standard of ballet and performing arts in our community, ensuring that our students are prepared for professional careers and higher education in the field.
